The 5th Annual Ecocinema Festival - May 2008
Following the success of Ecocinema events in prior years, the last one was held in five cities simultaneously- in the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Rosh Pina and Sderot cinematheques from the 15th to 25th of May 2008. The festival included films from around the world, meetings with filmmakers, green products fairs, activities for children, workshops, music, street theater, guided walks, bicycle trips and more.
In addition to the events in the cinematheques, there were film screenings, debates and activities in different locations such as the Sachnin and Hatsor community centers in the north, the Reich community center for the elderly in Tel Aviv, and the Bustania community garden in Jerusalem. We also participated in the Jerusalem Environment and Nature Conference organized by SPNI (the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel), and a JNF (Jewish National Fund) event for Lag BaOmer in HaYarkon Park. |
